GRACEMERE CATTLE SALE WEDNESDAY 12th JUNE 2024
This week Gracemere combined agents yarded a total of 2,557 head consisting of 1,261 Steers, 995 Heifers, 265 Cows, 16 Bulls and 20 Cows and Calves. This week the market strengthened an average of 32cents as a whole, compared to the previous week’s sale. Numbers have started to return to their weekly baseline following the large yarding at the beginning of the month. The market shows that the lighter end of the weaner heifers softened by 11c/kg with the mid-weight feeder heifers improving by 20-30c/kg. Overall, the heifer market held firm from previous weeks. The cow market also seen a strengthen in prices this week by up to 35c/kg.
