GRACEMERE CATTLE SALE WEDNESDAY 15TH MAY 2024
The Gracemere Combined Agents yarded a total of 1,960 head this week consisting of 1,023 Steers, 676 Heifers, 208 Cows, 28 Cows and Calves & 25 Bulls. Prices softened this week, which presented a great opportunity for buyers. The majority of cattle were consigned from the local area with a mixed yarding seen overall. Steers softened by 19c/kg on average this week with the best of the weaner steers making up to 374c/kg. Heifers sold well this week to some strong buyer competition. Light weaner heifers strengthened by 16 cents, with some very good quality cattle yarded within this weight category. The cow market will read softer by 13c/kg but taking into account the cows presented for sale the market held firm. Cows & calves held firm on last week’s market. Bulls sold well and held firm with lighter bulls strengthening by 12c/kg.
