GRACEMERE CATTLE SALE WEDNESDAY 19TH JANUARY 2022
Combined agents yarded 3386 head today, comprising of 1645 steers, 1145 heifers, 270 cows, 275 Cows & Calves and 52 bulls. Cattle were drawn from Clermont and Bowen through to Taroom and Theodore and all local areas. Quality was mixed as was condition. All processors were present although not all operated and slaughter cows eased only slightly – much of that was due to the change in quality offered. Restocker cows and heavy feeder steers saw good competition. There were quality-related variations throughout the sale indicating a slight easing. However, weaner heifers saw increases on last week’s rates.
